Pondering 'The Great Reset 2021'

'URGENT NEED'.  You know, security breach schemes - phishing, vishing and the like, as well as marketing schemes, will often put its target on the spot. They intentionally make something sound extremely urgent and attempt to get immediate, impulse buy in. Once they do, they get your precious information and gain access to computer system or get that impulse sale, they desire.  However, reasonable people will step back and consider, what is being asked or whether they even have a need for the product.  They catch and stop fraudsters in their tracks.

So I encourage all, don't make irrational decisions on whim or on the word of someone who has something to gain by your urgent buy in.  Step back and be reasonable. Don't give that caller your credit card number, social security number,  userId or password. Don't buy that worthless limited time trinket made of pot metal or toxic plastic.

One of the most interesting things I find about the Great Reset is its call on the 'young' to participate in this 'URGENT' discussion.

Please understand, I have no problem with young people. I was once one of them.  Some may think that I'm still one of the them. And I have two young sons, who I would like to see grow up and become mature men and have a good world to raise their families in.

However, what I remember from my youth is my innocent idealism which often won the day.  There is something about aging and maturity that takes time to develop and overcome youthful idealism.  There is the experience of things tried and attempted along with the recognition that perhaps many who look like they care about our best interest don't.

It's with this that I caution people of all ages; when people push 'URGENCY' towards 'YOUTH', please be suspicious.  It's like the apple that was given to Snow White.  And 'YOUTH' please be cautious with what is designed to appeal to you. Not everything is what it seems; and few actually care about your good and well-being.  My idealism has given way to the reality that what often appears to be good; often has negative consequences.

Let us step back and ponder:  "What are they (propellers of the Great Reset) really selling and what are the ramifications if we or others buy in?"

Pondering Common Core

*Image by Amerigus  Shocking:  America continues to except ‘common’ as the word that describes its educational system. America was founded on exceptional thought and consideration. America is uncommon in it’s choice of government and bill of rights to it’s citizens that in many ways expands around the globe. From the people who spread the ideals of freedom prior to 1776, to those who fought to secure America’s Independence, and those who fought for a more perfect union, the essence of America is far from common.   Yet, our educational system continues it’s aim to reduce everyone to commonness.   Furthering my research and delving into the common core web site for more information and understanding, I am appalled to read the following:   The composite standards [of Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore] have a number of features that can inform an international benchmarking process for the development of K–6 mathematics standards in the U.S. First, the composite standar...

pondering - ELECTIONS - Odd Truth

Odd Truth : The US Presidency is not the most Important Election. The Most Important Elections are related to those who actually have the greatest power - those in Congress. We could have a dumb president and the country would mostly get along just fine. But the moment we have a  Dumb Congress , no  Smart President  can fully save the day. Trump definitely exposed the width, breadth, depth and  putridity  of the  SWAMP . Unfortunately, America voted for the majority of them. America  needs  to vote better and really work and push to have a fair, open, honest and free election. Don't ever think that a Representative or Senator is a small election with little consequence. Every elected official contributes to how our country leans, works with or wars against others. We need to elect people who will understand, they are not there to be served by us, but they are there to serve and represent  US(A) .

pondering the DEATH PENALTY

Of late, I have seen many Facebook posts pushing a statement for the end of the death penalty. In a perfect world, where no one ever commits a heinous deadly crime, I would say, ‘Yes, we don’t need a death penalty.’ However, in our world, where crime and hate run rampant, I believe there should be a death penalty heinous deadly crimes.   One of the posts that I find most appalling is this one:   “The death penalty is not about whether people deserve to die for the crimes they commit. The real question of capital punishment in this country is, Do we deserve to kill?”   ― Bryan Stevenson, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption This particular quote has a very low view of humanity and suggests that we the people who have not committed a heinous deadly crime should lower our heads in shame and ask ourselves, “do we deserve to kill?”   This is extremely bad logic and a poor way to look at and respond to heinous deadly crimes.   We have law because people encro...
