Pondering a Letter to My House and Senate Representatives

Over the last year, much fiasco has thrived.  To list a few: 
  • the release of Covid-19, 
  • mass shutdowns, 
  • media censoring free speech,
  • riots, 
  • murders, 
  • flag burnings,
  • destruction of small businesses,
  • toppling of national monuments,
  • and what appears to be a very fraudulently run election. 
In such a time, we (my wife and I together), have written our congress representatives (house and senate) to state what we believe and bequest them whether democrat or republican to stand up for what is right and uphold the constitution of the United States of America.  This action is supported by the Declaration of Independence. And I implore others to do the same. Make sure your representatives know and hear your voice in these trying, turbulent days.  

In reference to the Declaration of Independence, American Citizens stand on a solid foundation to present our thoughts and desires to those who represent us. 
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
With this in mind, we have written and sent the below letter to our house and senate representatives:
As American citizens we are greatly concerned with the state of our government and our nation. Current events surrounding the 2020 election and Hunter Biden as well as Joe and Jim Biden, suggest that our government is complicit to federal crimes against our country. For Republicans to remain silent is connivance with those who wish to destroy America and American values. As an elected congressman of Ohio, you do not represent terrorists or ideologies that seek to destroy Ohio and America. As an elected congressman of Ohio, you do not represent colleagues and lobbyists who seek favors under the guise of being a “team player”. As an elected congressman of Ohio, you represent the people of Ohio. The people of Ohio voted Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America in the 2020 election. Please stand with Ohio and support Donald J. Trump for president on January 6, 2021.

Whether you agree with us or not, we implore you to let your representatives know your thoughts,.  Yes, be reasonable and sound with your judgement. Choose your words wisely and bequest them to serve 'we the people' as is the duty of the office to which 'we the people' have elected them. 

While pondering such things together, may we build, create and foster a better America. When we have done so, the world will also be a better world. 

One last illustration with which to close.  Whenever, you go through safety training, the first rule is to ensure your own safety. If a team jumps in the pit with toxic fumes, you will all die, but if you focus on your own safety first, you may then be able to save others with rational, reasonable thought and actions.

pondering - ELECTIONS - Odd Truth

Odd Truth : The US Presidency is not the most Important Election. The Most Important Elections are related to those who actually have the greatest power - those in Congress. We could have a dumb president and the country would mostly get along just fine. But the moment we have a  Dumb Congress , no  Smart President  can fully save the day. Trump definitely exposed the width, breadth, depth and  putridity  of the  SWAMP . Unfortunately, America voted for the majority of them. America  needs  to vote better and really work and push to have a fair, open, honest and free election. Don't ever think that a Representative or Senator is a small election with little consequence. Every elected official contributes to how our country leans, works with or wars against others. We need to elect people who will understand, they are not there to be served by us, but they are there to serve and represent  US(A) .

pondering the DEATH PENALTY

Of late, I have seen many Facebook posts pushing a statement for the end of the death penalty. In a perfect world, where no one ever commits a heinous deadly crime, I would say, ‘Yes, we don’t need a death penalty.’ However, in our world, where crime and hate run rampant, I believe there should be a death penalty heinous deadly crimes.   One of the posts that I find most appalling is this one:   “The death penalty is not about whether people deserve to die for the crimes they commit. The real question of capital punishment in this country is, Do we deserve to kill?”   ― Bryan Stevenson, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption This particular quote has a very low view of humanity and suggests that we the people who have not committed a heinous deadly crime should lower our heads in shame and ask ourselves, “do we deserve to kill?”   This is extremely bad logic and a poor way to look at and respond to heinous deadly crimes.   We have law because people encro...
